I'm going to be taking a road trip to Oregon, does anyone know if I am allowed to carry loaded handgun magazines if they are not in the gun? Any help, advice would be greatly appreciated.

Yes it is legal to have handgun mags loaded. You can have the mag right next to the handgun in either a locked container or open carried to be complaint with PC12025 and PC12031(watch out for school zones if you open carry and there are other risks too). Once you can into another state i would imagine the laws are more free."Legitimate use of violence can only be that which is required in self-defense." Ron Paul
"The issue today is the same as it has been throughout all history, whether man shall be allowed to govern himself or be ruled by a small elite." - Thomas Jefferson
