Glock 21 Feedback

I recently found a good deal on one. I know they retail for about 699. I found one for 5- Its barely used.

Should I buy? Is there anything I should know about these? (things to look for)? Anyone with one, feedback is appreciatted.

Is that a normal price for a used Glock? I'm not really into Glocks that much. I plan on adding a G26 to my collection eventually. I'm still trying to figure out XD9 or G26. But that's another thread.

The G21 is supposed to be the most accurate of all the Glocks. I love mine and it was my first IPSC gun; shot Limited division for a season with it and did well. $500 is a good deal.

The G21 grip is fat for a lot of people. Try the G21SF. The difference might be worth it. You could look for a used one in the Classifieds.

If accuracy is what you are looking for then get G-30. this is more accurate than the big brother G-21 and to prove my point read an article publish by Mas Ayoob a well respected firearms instructor, competitor and writer.

If you haven't had the opportunity to wrap your hands around a G21 yet, I suggest you do so before you make a decision either way. If you have little gnome-like hands, it may not be the gun for you. As previously stated, the grip is quite stout. But if you're a girthy lumber jack type manly-man such as myself, it won't be an issue.

I'm a huge .45ACP fan and the Glock 21 was the first handgun I bought. To this day it is the pistol that is in my bedroom wall safe, if that says anything.

If I did not already own my G21 I would buy a G21SF with non-ambi mag release. The difference in grip thickness is minor but the SF does feel slightly better. The ambi mag release really sucks (if you are a righty).

At $500+ for a G21 I would look for a good deal on a 21SF instead.

I have zero issues with the ambi mag release. I dont even notice its there and it works as advertised.

What exactly do you think "really sucks" about it?

I have had both a G21 and and a G21SF; I sold the G21 as the SF fit my hand better. Recoil is very easy to control.

buy an extra extractor they are around for about $12
its good insurance and that is the only thing that ever broke on mine

cause if that little bottom of the hook breaks you are done for the day

The ambi mag release requires a lot more pressure to release a full magazine. Also there are no extended mag release buttons for the ambi (maybe that will change) and I cannot release a mag without changing my grip on the G21 with the standard mag release button.

Is the ambi mag release a deal breaker? No.
Would I avoid buying the ambi if I could or pay slightly more for a G21 with a standard mag release? Yes.

That's my humble opinion.

My dad got me started on them, (he has a 3rd Gen 21)

I have a 3rd Gen 21 and a 2nd Gen 21...

aslong as it comes with atleast all paperwork and 2 mags etc. its a Fair deal...

I paid 500 for my 3rd gen... but It had all paperwork and 3 mags...

I absolutley would trust my life on any of my Glocks...

you may be able to get a better deal if you surf the FS forum, but if you like this one, its in good condition and you are happy with it then jump on it...

also there is one vendor for sure that sells them for 550, and another that sells them for 570 for sure BNIB 3rd gens....

do you have any specific questions about the pistol?
