I keep on going back to...

With all of my research for my first 1911 I just keep on going back to the Ed Brown's company...

I've been pulling out my hair trying to decide which one to purchase because I want to be right the first time. I decided to save some $, go w/a Dan Wesson but found out they are not making the seven point anymore in a .45cal acp just in 10mm

I just keep going back to Ed Brown...I was thinking about kimbers and sig sauers and decided not to go with those but to go with a colt but I am very limited on what colt's I can have since being in CA. After getting the gun customizing it would run me a small fortune...I do though want to by a colt 1911 just a collectors piece (old) just to have

Am I crazy to want to just go will the Ed Brown Special Forces and get it right the first time out?

I know exactly what you mean, the brown is a beautiful gun get it. I ended up going with a Springfield trp because i couldnt afford the brown.

Browns are great. The ones I've shot have all been some very smooth shooters, excellent triggers as well.

I would still advise you try them all out just to guarantee you'll like the EB SF the most. You may like how one handles but shoot something else better.

I'm not saying I have unlimited amounts of $$$ it's just to me if I buy something ofl lesser value and end up turning it to sell and get the brown. I'll be loosing $$$...

            Ed Brown Special forces

I have an ED Brown Cobra Karry and a Wilson Elite Professional. I had the opportunity to compare the Wilson with a friends special forces last Tuesday.
I ran 25 rounds of factory ammo thru both and found no significant difference. Both were very accurate and the brown might have handled the recoil a little better than the Wilson. The Wilson is a commander and the Brown a full size 1911. If I were choosing I would purchase the Brown. It has the same quality and $1,000.00 less to purchase.

Don't worry, there's quite a difference between Para Ordnance and Ed Brown.

Yeah...not just like a day and night difference...the difference is more like a hooker vs. nuclear fusion...

The Ed Brown SF is one of my favorite 1911's...here's mine with a 10-8 flat trigger, 10-8 extended mag release and some custom grips...

Get the EB, things I've learned early on is Don't ever Settle, because it'll cost you more in the long run.

Get the Ed Brown, its what you want. In six months you probably wont even miss the extra money spent. Don't see too many Browns in the sales forum, that must mean something.
