Guys I just fell into a few colt slides and now I have an itch to build a gun. How can I get a frame. I know I cant import one but life moves on and I am in search of one now. Is there a company in Ca that manufactures them or is anyone know where I can find one or two.

Well, you can get an 80% frame and a jig, then cut the channels yourself. Bonus to this is that you don't have to DROS of 10 day wait...

If you have an LEO in the family, they can get them.

Or, if you know someone moving here from out of state, you can get them to buy one prior to moving here...

I lucked across one last week, PPT being DROS'd - first one I've seen in about 5 years in SF, SJ & Sac but all I've been doing is looking not actively trying.

Even if a company in CA makes them they have to go new through FFL and that means safe list.

LE friend is a way, out of state Mom or Pop is another. It's a tough one to crack other than that.
