    Beretta 92F Inox problem

I took my Beretta out for a spin the other morning to find some disappointment.
Accuracy was low and seamed a bit loose. It also kicked almost twice as hard as I remember from firing an M-9.
I already fixed the elivation problem, but I was also thinking about a barrel replacment.
I am concearned however that part of the problem is the barrel being a bit to loose, and I am planing to carve a front dovetail and install trijicon sights ( i've changed my mind about swapping the slide for a Brigaedier after comparing the 2 ) and was thinking about letting the dovetail go a bit below the top surface to supply a little bit of added stability on the barrel.
I am mostley looking for ideas and suggestions about dealing with this gun.
I am also assumeing the kick has allot to do with a recoil buffer and was hopeing someone would direct me to someone who sells recoil buffers for the Beretta. Thanks.

    BTW.
Pretty much all of my above complaints are normal 9mm handgun behavior. This really is an awesume gun, especially for the price I paid. I just remember Beretta handguns to have a bit above normal shooting performance, and in either case, while not perfict out of the box, it's an incredible handgun. It's also one of the easiest handguns to tune I have ever incountered. The parts that are criticle in the guns performance are easy to get to and up-front to work with.

These guys make a good recoil reducer. I have one in a 92 and a 96 and both work well. I was more interested in frame longevity than recoil reduction since I don't think either the 92 or the 96 recoil severely.
If you call Barsto Precision and speak to Irv Stone III, you can ask him if he still fabricates "bushings" (actually a collar that is affixed to the front of the slide) that positively locate the Beretta barrel in the slide.

Thanks. A bit over my price range, plus, I make those things myself, although making them brings me to be respectful of those prices. My .500S&W magnum semi-auto is designed to use one that cushions kick like you wouldn't believe.
That collar thingie has my attention though.
I am worried about frame life as well, but for kick, I am concearned about accuracy, which is easier under smooth recoil.

          hey 44 Canon,

Sorry to hear that you are having problems....

when i had it, I was able to one gallon jugs at 40 yards with it.....

remember 44 canon the recoil spring was replaced with a little bit lighter spring....so that could be why the recoil is a bit worse....

Good Luck with fixing it up...I know you have alot of plans to do to that gun!!!!

Pat, this gun has been getting average 9mm handgun accuracy. That i've seen, it had the best groups of all the handguns at the range. Heck, we were shooting a Barrett M-82A1 that day, and I was getting the best groups with it, and even they were not as good as the Beretta. LOL. Average accuracy however is not good enough for me, but that's why I alwayse end up taking the guns function in to my own hands. I tried 2 of the 3 recoil spring sets. The tighter ones increased kick, while the lighter ones reduced.
$400 was a price I had a hard time beleiving for a 92F Inox in any way, so I certainley have no complaints. Actually, it'll be very hard for me to get a new gun of any kind and NOT end up making a post like this, unless I already know exactley what to do. This being that I have never owned a gun that didn't need SOME sort of work don to it, or parts swap.
All in all, it's one of the best gun buys i've ever made.

            BTW.
So far, I have painted the insignia on the floorplate and the ring on it, eliminated the trigger drag, switched the grips to Hogue 1 piece, painted the front sight orange, rear sights white and reduced the elivation of the rear sight, rounded the sides, painted the rear sights white again, white painted the cereal nomber and polished the feed ramps.
I'll have to get pictures pretty soon. Remember that I use to be a bigtime model artest, so the paint jobs I do look professional in quality.

As soon as I can afford. My vehicle broke down yesterday yet again and will need to get it fixed, plus I have to make a payment on another gun ASAP and have over a dozen business expenses in the next 3 days before I can even figure out what I can afford for what. Once that's done, I will. Buying this holster is not something that has left my attention.

Well, the trigger pull is done and it turned out very well.
I had earlier eliminated the drag, but I decieded to eliminate the creek a couple nights ago. Trigger pull is now about the same as a S&W revolver but not as heavy.
I also polished all of the moving parts in the trigger housing, so double-action trigger pull is much smoother.
