    CZ SP-01 (40S&W)

Why is the 9mm CZ SP-01 approved on the CA DOJ Roster of Handguns Certified for sale, but the 40S&W CZ SP-01 is not? Is there any hope of it being added to the roster? Or should I hope that the SAF and CGF win their challenge in the courts?

It was either because it didn't exist in .40 at the time, or CZ didn't want to pay for additional testing.

The chance of the roster going away soon hovers around zero.. It'll be a long process to get that thing revoked.

The battle to take down the roster is not going well?

The former, the gun lacks the LCI and mag disconnect; the .40 Tactical variant came out (1 Jan 2009) after those features became required for CA approved handguns. The .40 S&W is only offered on the Tactical (decocker) variant and not the safety right now, FYI.
