    Pistol with Internal Lock

I have my SA GI .45 with an internal locking system and was wondering if it still needed to be in a locked case while traveling if the the internal lock is engaged?

it would be the same as a gun missing the firing pin its still a gun 2 choices unloaded and unconcealed or in a locked container

      ^^^ This ^^^

Besides, if you have it UOC, having it internally locked would be counterproductive to shoving in a mag and getting to business if you have to. UOC aside, this is reason in chief why I don't own any firearm with an internal lock that requires a seperate action to get past.

true in being counter productiveness. The last time the internal lock was engaged was the day i picked up my 1911 and was shown the feature.

i tried countless ways to fit my 1911 into my AR carrying case it just wouldn't fit. Guess ill just have to get a new case that fits everything. I hate carrying multiple bags to the range.
