OK, so I have been researching which 1911 I wanna buy for about six months and I have narrowed it down to a Kimber Tactical Entry II. I found it on gunbroker for a good price and was all set to make it happen when I checked the DOJ list just to be extra sure. Much to my dismay, the Tactical Entry isn't on there. The other Tactical models (Custom, Pro) are on there. Also on the list is my second choice, the Stainless TLE/RL II, which is essentially the exact same gun minus the magwell and mag bumper pads. WTF? Can anyone tell me why this is? Would the Tactical Entry still qualify even though it doesn't specifically list that detailed model??? All in all, I'll be just as happy with the TLE, but I just liked the slight two-tone look of the Tactical and the included trigger and magwell.

DOJ List question

You and I have good taste
. I've been eyeing the Tac Entry II for quite some time now and I wanted that gun really bad. But yea, it's not on the CA DOJ roster. When will it be, if ever, who knows. A much cheaper solution and one that is on the roster is the TLE/RL, but I'm sure you already knew that.
