    A little Sacramento help please

Hello my friends I am kinda new to the city of Sacramento and had a few questions. I live in the downtown area and I'm look'n for a good shooting range, gun shops, hot spots for good ammo prices. Any help would make my life alot easier. Many thanks to all for your help

you can find all that at Old Sac Armory. oh wait... it got shut down.

Gonna have to go to River City Gun Exchange for buying guns and ammo. Its near Fruitridge and Franklin.

You're gonna have to head out of town for shooting ranges. You have your choice of Yolo Sportsmans Assoc., Sac Valley Shooting Center, or Cordova Shooting Center. Try em all and see which you like best.

Welcome to Sac. I will add a couple of places to the list thefinger posted,
Wild-Sports- In Orangevale. (Decent prices on firearms)
The Gun Room- In Elk Grove, good indoor shooting range and they have a decent selection of firearms.

River City Gun Exchange is a great shop down in your area, they have tons of OLLs in stock, new, used, ammo, pretty much everything, even a BAR if you have the cash for it.

Just Guns is another new shop that is over off of Auburn and Watt. Super friendly employees and a growing inventory.

As for Ranges: Cardova off Sunrise and Douglas, or if you have the time to drive Sac Valley.

RCGE is the best retail location in the area.

Sac Valley Shooting Center is the best range in the area.

The Gun Room does have a nice indoor range, but no centerfire rifles allowed. Their retail shop is WAY overpriced.

Plus we have the best FFL transfer dealer in the state.

Don't forget about the Mangan range in south Sacramento. It is only open for pistol shooting on Monday and Wednesday, and small bore rifles on other days of the week. Because it is staffed by NRA volunteers the hours may not always be as stated. The fees are cheap and they provide targets.

Also, check out Wild Bill's in Elk Grove

+1 one for the above. Was at Magnan for the first time last month for PC 832 qualification, have been to all the others mentioned. Usually shoot at The Gun Room but will try to visit Magnan more as the range fee is a bargain in comparison.

I was shooting a Glock when shooting a Glock wasn't cool.

Been at Mangan Range for the same thing. I won't shoot at The Gun Room unless I have to...

go here. There is a range much closer, cheaper, and more fun than the Gun Room. The city maintains a range at Mangan Park on 34th Avenue. It is open to the public for handgun use Mon, Tues and Thurs 6-9. $5 a night, all targets are free. You must have your own guns and ammo though as none are rented/sold at the range. See you at the range.

There's a Sportsmans Warehouse off 65 - in Rocklin I think, in the mall. Fair amount of reloading supplies.
