XS Night sights

been wanting to get some night sights for my glock 26 and XD 45.

just wondering what you guys think works better:
the regular dot sights such as trijicon or meprolight, or the XS style sights. Ive heard a lot of good things about the XS sights as far as acquiring them in low light conditions, just not sure if i could get used to them as im used to the dot style.

anyone use the XS style? just looking for some opinions. thanks

Edit: the Glock will be used primarily for CCW. the XD for a go-to HD firearm in my night stand. not too worried about target shooting

Go with the Big dot and keep in mind what they are for.

as you can tell..I prefer XS to other sights becuase they work.
But they are not for everybody.

If you done like them, you can always sell them here without
to much of a loss.

Personally, I prefer Heinie Slant Pro Straight Eights. The two dot setup is much faster to me than the traditional 3-dot. If you only see one dot, it is the rear, and if you see two, the one on top is the front. The front sight on the Heinies is a little larger and has a silver ring around it, so your eye is naturally drawn to it, day or night.

The XS sight as already explained is for very rapid sight acquisition. It is too large for me though and prevents precision (not what they were designed for).

The Heinie is (for me) the right combination of speed and precision....since I started using them, I now have several of my pistols setup with Heinies...XD's included.

Just like what was said above some people like them, some people don't. For quick targeting it's great but from what I have read for bullseye type shooting it's not. It's a lot harder to do that type of work with the big dot. You can go to glocktalk.com and do some research. I remember reading a bunch of posts about this when I had my glock about a year ago. For the xd you can go to xdtalk if you want also.

I had the xs standard dot front sight with a 10-8 .140 rear sight on my m&p .45 and have no complaints. I was able to pick up the front sight much faster than the traditional 3 dot system. I also feel that it was much more accurate than tradional dot systems. I liked them so much that my sa is being fitted with them at the custom shop. It's my opinion that you can make the sight just as accurate as any other dot sight out there.

I have big dots on my G17 and am installing a set on my G19 tomorrow. They took a range session to get comfortable with. But, if you truly want a set of sights designed for gun fighting you can't go wrong with the XS product.

XD-45: Go-to Home defense firearm on my night stand.

i didnt buy these guns to punch paper, target shooting is not my priority.
so, sounds for what id be using them for, the XS sights would work perfectly.
