19. I used to love the 17 but found the smaller frame of the 19 to be perfect for my hands, and it still takes my 17's old mags!

Which Glock for you?

I hear many people say that 9mm is easy to find, but every time I go to Walmart I see only .40. If I go to a gun store all calibers are available but for $$$, so could you elaborate on that?Any of the 9mm Glocks. High capacity available, cheaper ammo, ammo more readily available (at least now i find it everywhere), first made and arguably the most reliable of the glocks (arguably ok? lets not argue though).
IMO all glocks are the same. SO I guess it depends what round you like better.Last edited by Rob Roy; 09-12-2009, 6:02 PM.Comment

Under normal market conditions, 9mm ammunition is generally cheaper than 40. Sooner or later, supply will catch up with demand and prices will adjust towards their natural equilibrium.

my opinion...
Since Glock offers many frame sizes per caliber just choose your caliber and then go with a mid frame model. -OR- Need to conceal?--There's your answer. Need for competition?--There's your answer.
Caliber debate goes something like this...
9mm=effective with proper shot placement. .40=effective "tweener". .45=effective by default (size). Conclusion?...ALL calibers are fine. Think instead about future proofness, access and availability to chosen caliber, current costs, comfort with recoil, etc.
I REALLY enjoy my G19. I purchased it after giving up on a 17. As it turned out the 17 was never the problem it was the operator. I'm the proud owner of some fantastic 1911's but will never part company with Glock. Simple, elegant, reliable.Comment

Glock 30. Concealable while retaining a 10 round magazine. I spent a long time thinking about the pros and cons of the various models and settled with the 30. Never looked back.Originally posted by Paladin(Please skip the lame "two weeks" replies.)Originally posted by Ford8NIf I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them, Mr. and Mrs. America, turn 'em all in, I would have done it. ), therefore have doubts to trust it. Gotta clean that extractor and then it's fine. Finish of slide and barrel is inferrior to Glock's. Although, would never sell it.
