    New holster break-in question

Hi guys. I just got a Safariland 6005 thigh holster for my S&W1911PD. The holster is lined with a soft leathery type material and the holster is a hard plastic. My question is, when I put my pistol in the holster, it is very tight. Is there any good tricks to get it to fit much better? Or do I need to just simply put the pistol in and out of it until it fits better?

    Thanks

There's a screw adjustment on the side of the holster you can adjust in and out to set the amount of retention (friction) you want. I was just out in the shop setting up the same holster

There's not really anything else to do or adjust on these from my experience. Others have mentioned spraying silicone in the holster but I don't think you want it to be quite that slickery.

Thanks for the advise on the silicone spray. It's hard to practice when you can't get your gun out of the holster without forcing it out with two hands.

The screws are adjusted out so they are not tight at all.
