    Glock 29 Long Barrel?

So I have what is probably a silly question.

Why can't a 6" barrel for the full sized G20 work in a subcompact G29 if the dimensions of the lock-up are the same?

    Thanks

A G20 barrel will fit into a G29 slide, but the problem is in the locking lugs on the bottom of the barrel, which will not work with the G29 locking block in the G29 frame. The same is true of the G19/G26 and G23/G27 with the G17 and G22 barrels.

      They are not the same.

You could get a G20, add a Lone Wolf 6" long slide & barrel, and chop the grip to fit G29 mags.

Then you would have a longslide G29. (I've thought about doing this myself from time to time.)

Here are some pictures of two Glock 20SFs that I completed recently (after getting my arm out of a cast and still going to physical therapy).

G20SF with my G29 grip "Chop Job" and "Godzilla Skin" texturing . Also, another GLock 20 SF with my grip reduction and "Urazame" grip texturing.

BrokenArrow, that's some nice work you've done there, bud!

Is it possible to do the grip reduction/texturing to work with grip extensions? Maybe texture the grip extension to match the frame? I need that extra space for my pinky to get a comfortable grip.
