NAA minis?

Hello everyone, I am from sacramento and I have been bit by the sudden urge to purchase one of these super small revolvers . I have always liked mouse guns in general and I have to have one of these little gems. They do not sell them anywhere in town that I have seen but I was talking with someone who was a dealer and had one that said they do in other counties. I was wondering if anyone knew of any places they can point me in from sacramento to the bay area to purchase one. Im looking for a 1 1/8 inch barrel convertible or the PUG model. Thanks in advance

I know Target Masters in Milpitas had one the last time I was there. I've been wanting one too, but $300 is a little steep for me. I've actually been thinking of buying the black powder version because 1. BP is cool, 2. no crappy 10 day wait and they mail it straight to your house, 3. they're considerably cheaper.

I have one of the little convertibles myself. They aren't easy to hit anything with but they are so cute that who can resist. I'd watch Davidsons and see when they have one available, or get your local dealer to order it. The convertible should be around $225 +- $25.

I have the BP version and it is no powerhouse.
I prefer the larger interchangeable models myself, mostly because the larger grip is needed once you start shooting ammo that has some ooomph.

There are only two NAA minis on the Roster.

NAA-22LR / Stainless Steel Revolver 1.125" .22 LR 1/24/2010
NAA-22MS / Stainless Steel Revolver 1.125" .22 Magnum 1/24/2010

The convertable is a different model, which isn't Rostered. However, IIRC you can send a magnum mini back to NAA and they will hand-fit a .22lr cylinder. The PUG, and no other minis are Rostered either.

There are two minis that are not rostered, but that can be legally acquired in a roster-exempt configuration. One, is the BP model mentioned above. The other is the Mini-Master, which has a long enough barrel and OAL to be a roster-exempt single-action revolver.

So, if you want any other mini beside the two rostered models, and the two roster-exempt models, you'll need to find one that you can purchase in a PPT or other roster-exempt transfer.

edit: oh, and the new Earl looks to be large enough to be roster-exempt as well.

Definitely shoot one of these before you buy it!

I think you'd be better off with another type of 22lr bug gun. Taurus PT22 or the Beretta, etc. or a bit bigger such as the Walther P22.

You can buy the .22LR cylinder as a spare part without having to send your gun back to NAA.
Yes, the NAA manual says only they can fit a cylinder.
But all the parts except the frame are sold separate at egunparts.com
However, if you buy the spare part and install it yourself, you do need to make sure it is fitted and timed / locks up correctly.

I got mine by simply going to North American Arms' website, clicking on the firearm you want, and choose "Find this gun at a dealer near you". That's how they cheaply shipped mine to an FFL near me. I went to Amazon.com and got the belt buckle holster (with grips) and the folding holster.

I groped one at Cabela's in Reno last year. Always wanted one, but man they are small. The fat frozen sausages that pass for my fingers were just a bit much for the little peashooter. Still get the urge every time I see one though..... just sooooo cute!

Bought my NAA convertible at River City Gun Exchange. Neat little gun. I think Brandon at Wild Bills had one the last time I was there (last week) If not he will order one for you.
