I really like Ruger's rimfire handguns and all their revolvers. I don't care for their bulky, ugly centerfire pistols though.Last edited by CSACANNONEER; 09-06-2009, 10:16 AM.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

I have had a Ruger Mk I for many years, and it is Very reliable. I also have a Security Six, and while not a semi auto, I would trust my life with either one...

Yes Ruger makes reliable semi auto centerfire handguns. They are built like tanks and have the heft to match.
I have experiance with the p89, and own a p944. I'd trust my life with it.
Why is this in RKBA and politics? There are 3 kinds of people in this world.
The wise, learn from the mistakes of others.
The smart, learn from their own mistakes.
The others, well......they just never learn.

Yes the do
I have a Ruger P95DC that has functioned flawlessly for 11 years now. It is lacking in the styling dept but it will eat anything. I have run Wolf, cheap range re-loads, 3D lead reloads, federal Hydra-Shok and everything in between without problems."Democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. I have a P89 that has over 10000 rounds through it with ZERO problems. This includes running handloads that would barely cycle the action.
Yes it is a brick but sometimes you need a brick, and if you run out of ammo you could certainly use it like a brick.I don't care for their bulky, ugly centerfire pistols though
In any type of fight, & especially gun fights, there are no winners ..... just varying degrees of losers. The only fight you win is the one you never get into.

I have three rugers
P85
p90
p345
The p85 has been shot numerous times and it eats pretty much every ammo there. I have big mayo jar full of different brands of 9mm ( these are all from 1/2 used packs etc. Wold blazer Winchester PMC you name it its in there. ) i fired different metal construction ammo and it never even flinched. I never had a misfire or a ftf stovepipe etc. May not be the prettiest 9mm out there but it sure as hell is reliable. i did however have a problem with disassembly and I thought somethign was wrong with it. Ended up my buddy who borrowed the gun and cleaned it put it back together with the slide spring on backwards so it caught slightly making the disassmebly a PITA.) once that got figured out its never failed me.
The P90 I jsut bought it and took it to the range andit was great no problems. IF that is as reliable as my 9mm i will be happy
The P345 i shot it abotu 20 rounds then put it away. Gunis flawless as far as shooting no problems. i dont like the grips on the gun ( too thin) so i got it sold. Im going on vacation and taking it up north to the guyComment
