    PPS in Ca

Quick question! I was told by two gun stores , I know gun store advice is questionable, that the Walther PPS is not available in California due to it not being on the approved list or something. Is this true? I am looking to buy one but might be out of luck. Thanks.

Correct. The PPS in not on the Roster, so it can't be transfered through a dealer except in a roster-exempt transfer. Such as a PPT, interstate intra-family transfer, or to an LEO. Since it basically can only be sold to LEOs, many shops won't stock them unless they have a large LE clientell.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?

The PPS is totally new design, not related to the PPK and PPKs.

Yup, retired LEO are not roster-exempt.
