Got myself a hand cannon

After ten long days, and over an hour of waiting at the store today, I finally have it. I paid $600+ppt for this Ruger Super Redhawk in .454 Casull. Now I just gotta wait for my bullet casting supplies to arrive, cast some bullets, and then load some ammo to shoot.

NICE wheelgun! That .454 is a serious ΔŞŞ-kicker to shoot though! VERY sharp recoil.
We've had customers that had that caliber in the same Super Redhawk but eventually had us convert it to a 5 shot .500 JRH or .510 LineBaugh so they could handle the recoil.
I really like the grey finish Ruger got with those. I spoke with Ruger about the steel they were using for their cylinders, particularly the .480 rugers since the chamber walls are so thin, and how they obtained that matte grey finish since I couldn't replicate it on the new cylinder finish. (I've got pic's if you are ever interested) It is quite a process of acid treating and media blasting. I don't think Ruger does that finish anymore.

I use to have the 44 mag but yours is really nice. For 600 I wouldnt of passed it up either.
