    Having trouble deciding

I am going to purchase a new handgun in the coming week. I thought I would ask what you guys think about the three I am thinking about.

    Springfield Armory TRP
    Kimber Warrior II
    Sig P220

Which do you guys think I should get?

    IMO, Kimber Warrior

EDIT I have good experience with Kimber, and I believe the TRP is very spendy.

I don't like Sigs personally. Most any 1911 would beat out a Sig in my book. DA/SA triggers with no cock n lock option don't appeal to me.

      My ranking would be:

      P220
TRP - #2 only because of the aggressive checkering
      Kimber

I have a weakness for 1911's, so they would top my list. Although I have two Kimbers, I like the fact the Springfield doesn't have a firing pin lock.

you cant go wrong with a TRP. i just ordered a warrior 2, ill give a range report when i get it(itll be roughly 5 weeks though). if i didnt get the warrior 2, i would have gotten a TRP operator.

I own al three. If I had to pick one-

            TRP Operator/Kimber series I match
            then P220
            Then regular TRP/Kimber

It really depends on what you want the gun for. Do you want a range gun or a defensive gun? The DA/SA is something I prefer in a defensive gun, plus the rail on the P220R is nice for Home Defense.

BTW you can get a SIG P220 with an SA trigger. Cocked and locked is good to go with a Sig.

See if you can hold each. The TRP is a sweet piece but I don't like the way Springfields feel in the hand, the 20lpi checkering is kinda rough for me too. Kimbers fit my hand well. Sigs feel great too, but I prefer single actions.

one thing about the warrior is the grips tend to REALLY bite hard into your palm, i can tell im gonna need to file them down when i get it.

                    P220R or ST.

                    Then the Kimber.

                      They're all the same. Get a S&W 625.

                          My choice would be:

                          1) TRP
                          2) 220
                          3) Kimber

S&W 1911's are very well made, too. I have 4 of them including Performance Center versions.
