Different Glock models have different trigger pulls?

    I have a G20 and a G19. Both came with a 5.5 lbs. trigger.

However, the G20 was terrible to shoot so I put a 3.5# connector on it and now it's awesome.

The G19 which I just brought home feels fine stock. What gives?

Now that I'm playing with them. The G19 isn't as soft as the G20 with the 3.5, but it feels like the pull is a lot shorter. Is this because the gun overall is smaller?

I had a 35 that came 3.5, neither of my 19s came that way.

The 34 and 35 come with a 3.5# because it's targeted towards competition shooters.

This is almost true... They come with a 4.5# trigger. I'm not sure Glock makes a 3.5. The 5.5 is standard on all of their guns aside from the 34/35.

You're right. I always kept thinking it was 3.5.

Check your box. If you have the factory box for your pistol, the label will tell you what trigger weight it had when it was sent out.

Different models feel different - I just got a G23 with a standard 5.5 lb. pull according to the label. It feels a lot different from my G22 or G27, both of which have the same trigger parts installed.

When I ordered my G27, I was required by my department to have at least an 8 lb. trigger pull, so I ordered one with a New York trigger. It came with a (+) connector AND a New York trigger - a pull weight of over 12 lb.! Needless to say, that didn't last long.

Glock makes a 3.5 lb. connector (it's marked with a minus sign).

I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

The box for the 35 said 3.5

Both of my boxes are 5.5 as I said.

Well, did you walk into a gunstore and buy one off the shelf? Or, did you order one to your liking? You can do that you know.

I ordered my G20, but the G19 was on sale for cheap so I took the last one they had.

Glock's 3.5# connector really measures out to about to about 4.5#. However, Glock calls it the 3.5# though because they measure their pull weights differently. Therefore, the proper name for the connector is the 3.5# connector.

Wonder why they only have a 4.5, 5.5, and 8 lbs. connectors listed on their site...

Glock must have very recently changed the designation to better reflect the actual pull weight of the connector. If that is the case, they should start calling the 5.5 the 6.5!

Edit: Here's an interesting article that discusses the different connectors and springs. http://findarticles.com/p/articles/m...0/ai_n6209982/
