    Template for a M-11 (9mm) flat

I was wondering if anyone has a template for a M-11 (9mm) flat? Also, do you know what gauge the sheet metal is? I just got access to a plasma-cam table and some TIG welders. I was thinking about cutting some flats with the plasma, bending them, and welding them up with the TIG. I was thinking about cutting slots at the bend point like those ones that they used to say you could bend by hand. Thought? Comments? Suggestions? Thanks!

I have a plasmacam and for some reason I really doubt that it'll be able to handle the job. However, if it does, can you email me the pcm files?
Lord, make my hand fast and accurate.

than those who would seek to destroy me.
Grant me victory over my foes and those who wish to do harm to me and mine.
Let not my last thought be 'If I only had my gun."
And Lord, if today is truly the day you call me home, let me die in an empty pile of brass.

I can't seem to get any holes smaller than a half inch to cut right. You might have to cut the flat, then punch all the holes in it yourself. I dunno. I was never trained on the damn thing though, and it sounds like you're in a classroom setting with experienced people which will be great.

What kind of class is this??

For some reason I can't get the picture of a high school student manufacturing AK flats in metal shop out of my head...

How are you guys venting the tables? I ended up bolting plywood to the legs, and put a nice really high RPM fan in one end. No smoke comes out of the top, and everything gets blown out and away from me. On rainy days I have a big hose that connects to it and runs 25 feet away and I vent it into the neighbors property (It's a vacant lot and nobody is ever there)

This is not part of a class. This would be the teachers cutting out some flats after hours. We are allowed to use the equipment for personal projects as long as we use our own consumables.

The students will never know about it unless the other teacher tell them. Though I have a lot of students that like to hunt and shoot. They offered to give me squirrel tails for extra credit when they heard that my landlord gives me $1 off my rent for every squirrel I kill on the property (I have to give him tails to keep count).

LOL, I didn't actually figure it was part of a class or during school hours. I just thought the mental image was humorous. When I was in high school there would always be kids in trouble for making pipes in ceramics or obscene objects in woodshop. I can only imagine the fecal tornado ripping through the school if someone actually manufactured ANYTHING weapon related.
