    CCWs for the asking?

Now that Sacramento is about to release 27,000 cons into our midst, will it become easier to obtain a CCW? A rhetorical question, I know the answer.

27,000 in the Sacramento area alone? Good god, I may start locking my doors at night.

Obvious answers don't need sharing You might as well ask if Sacramento will change the color of the sky to a bright green, and require all Snickers bars to include a free lottery ticket because they let loose 27,000 prisoners. Just as likely, and to our elected representatives it makes just as much sense...

With so many criminals being let loose, why put MORE guns on the street??? Why would you need a gun when there is the police? And if you can defend yourself, then you don't need the government's help!!! (That will be their reasoning)

By Sacramento, obviously you mean, 'now that the 'California government' is releasing....blah blah...

Next, it looks like Lou Blanas might be running for Sac County Sheriff again. What was his previous CCW stance?

Blanas' previous stance was "only for $" or the important. The group pushing him to run is made up of deputies. Any Sac SO on here that can give insight as to whether all these deputies supporting him are OK with an anti-CCW stand on his part?

No go. We have the police to protect us. Silly gunnies.

Didn't some local LE agencies there have to cut patrol presence on each shift somewhat drastically recently? I think the number was pretty staggering...I want to say that one beat in a particular area now has under half the active patrol units on duty at any given time as compared to before [the economic mess]. The sheriff better get some sense knocked into his head and start issuing CCW's. More criminals on the street and less police officers on patrol...we need more "good guns" out on the street with criminals left guessing who they are.

Sadly, I don't think most politicians understand the least bit about LE, and frankly, I think they are too ignorant to listen to any reasoning, even if it is true.

I was already mad enough that policing budgets were cut so drastically.
