.50AE and shooting ranges

Will they let you shoot it indoors/outdoors or it's frown upon?

I have never been to one that didn't allow this caliber(indoor or outdoor). Just check with the range you're going to.

Reed's in Santa Clara rents out a .454 Casull, so I don't think the .50AE will be a problem. As a matter of fact, their rules allow up to a .50 caliber handgun.

Almost all of the outdoor ranges have no problem with the .50AE either. Check with your local range to see. I think they have to be rated for it (backstop) to allow it.

One place I've been to rents a .500 SW but they won't let me shoot my 10mm at their steel.
