G18s have the happy switch on the left side-per Lunde, do you see that extra bump on the rear of the slide? It's modified, despite what the title says. There's actually a kit to make your standard Glock full auto...but that's confidential.
I do believe that a permanent mod needs to be made to the frame to get the plate to work and when that happens that gun is now a M.G.

The actual method for how the Glocks can be made to go full auto is fairly simple. One of the pics shows how it's done. Outside of trigger manipulation, I don't see how a Glock can be modified to do 3 shot bursts instead of FA. Glock made some changes to the model 18 slide & frame so that it's slide (where all the fun parts are) will not interchange with any other Glock Frame. The outside dimensions are the same as a G17, so it'll fit in any G17/22 holster. Personally, I think it's a great way to be able to arm someone with a FA tool that looks "normal".

Hows the accuracy for the Glock 18 in full auto without the stock mod? Is the recoil manageable w/o the stock? Looks fun for sure.

That's all I know for sure... the rest? Not a clue. Haven't shot one yet... but I'd love to be able to... just to find out the rest!

The reason they made the G18 was for Austria's secret service so they could have FA in a regular package. Who cares it's very cool to say the least.

Recoil is easily manageable by an experienced shooter. When my agency switched over to Glocks, Glock USA sent an instructor to put rangemasters through a Glock Rangemaster and Armorer course. He brought a G18 for us to try - what a nice guy! Using short bursts, it was no problem to hold all shots in the torso at 7 yards. It works because you expect it... unlike a malfunctioning semi-auto that tends to wind up pointing at the sky because you didn't expect the continued recoil.

Never could convince the Sheriff that we needed a few G18's in our armory, darn it...
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

It's not a bad idea, just an illegal action if taken. Full auto = good, very good!

There are a few different models. The one I tried (in another country) slipped right on without any modifications. Not too bad on a G17, slightly harder to control on a G26...

glock selector. my neighbor in the philippines is a gun smith and sells tons of selectors over there. just replace the glock back plate with it, then rock and roll. push of the button from semi to full auto. works with all glock models.

Once you've put a few magazines through the pistol, it's easy to control and shoot reasonably well.
