I really like my P320. Bought as the standard full size model, I now have configurations also for sub-compact and X5 Legion competition model (that one's a beast...love it). If you are smart and patient, you can find conversion kits at reduced prices, so...no...it costs less than having three comparable Glocks. That's all beside the point that the ergonomics are better than Glock's.

Don't think it's the greatest gun platform made, but it is enjoyable to own.
My friends and family disavow all knowledge of my existence, let alone my opinions.

      1. The Sig P365 is an excellent option for CCW. It is the original subcompact 10-round pistol of its dimensions. It is smaller than a Glock 43 (slightly) and holds 10+1. Some people prefer as small as is practicable in an effective caliber (9mm and up). It is not a range toy or fun gun. The P320 feels ergonomic (to me) and has grip module options as has been pointed out already.

      2. Sig is not an acronym. It is part of the name of the company Sig Sauer. Not sure why you capitalize Sig.

You have a gangbanger with a full size 4? 357 magnum / beretta 92 9mm aiming at your chest and there you go with all your firearm knowledge ~ pulling out the smallest, shortest grip 9mm ( paraphrasing ) sig P365 !

That has always made me 🤔 about what is the rage in concealed carry options.

Just throwing that out there and a lol.

I have a g19, 17, 34 and 26. All are ok, but the grip angle doesn't do great for me. I learned to shoot on a 1911, so anything that comes close to that is great.
            Also have 365xl, 229, 220, 229 and the M18.

G19 is all gucci'd out. Grip under cut, and stippled, slide ported and a Trijicon RDS, magwell dealio. On a scale of 1 to 10, if I work at it like a job, shoot about a 90 out of 100 points at 15. If it has been a while, closer to a 60%.
Any of my Sig's, 90 to 100 with really working at it. The M18 about a 85 right out of the box.

Go hold one, shoot one. Let your mileage guide you. Some of the folks I shoot with love the M18, others can't get over the issues of unintended disccharges in the past. But these are the same people who have forgotten or dismissed Glock's issues when it was first introduced.
BTW, my M18 is an off the shelf CA roster version.
            Good luck in your search.

Can't agree more with the try before you buy suggestion. I have 3 P320s (.45, .357sig and 9mm) and have had no issues with them. I had a P365 and it was fine too.

I still prefer my P-series Sigs but that's in part because they are not the CA version. If I had to choose a CA version P-series or a P320 it may be a bit tougher decision as I hate the LCIs. I never really let the magazine cost impact the purchase but I guess it's something to keep in mind.

Give as many as you can a try and see what works best for you. Good luck

SIG Sauer?s logo is SIG with a circle around it.

                SIG stands for Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft.

SIG Sauer is correct. I haven?t found anything in print yet with Sig Sauer and not SIG Sauer.

But Sig Sauer, or Sig (short for Sig Sauer) or SIG are all correct.
The official history notes that SIG has always been an acronym for Schweizerische Industrie-Gesellschaft. The naming history goes a follows:

1853 - Swiss Wagon Factory (WTF right?)
                    1864 - SIG
                    1985 - SIGARMS
                    2007 - SIG SAUER

Yes, the "SAUER" comes from J.P. Sauer and Sohn but the official trademark is all caps.

Proceeded to make a tight group with the rest of the shots. Ever since then I knew I wanted one. Well, all these years later I finally got my own P365 and same thing, nailed the bullseye first shot and all following shots one tight group. I shoot a variety of guns well; Glocks, CZs, 1911s, Berettas, HKs, other Sigs, S&Ws.

Did you check the sights on that P365? You'd be surprised how many guns come from the factory not even remotely sighted in. Especially when they are cranking out as many as they can. I've seen a few Sigs with sights that are off. That's my main criticism of Sig. They don't fit the sights properly they just jam them in and if they don't line up all the way they just send it out the door like that. Kinda bullchit basic gun making if you ask me. And they are so jammed in there that it's almost impossible to get the sight off without destroying the damn thing. You have to be really careful and expect to destroy the sights removing them and have to buy new sights to properly fit them, which is how they should have been from the factory.

But if the sight's are correct, then they are very accurate easy to shoot guns

Also the brown finish on the M17/M18 is utter crap. Really unacceptable IMHO. The slides on all the P365s have blemishes on the sides where it looks like it was put in a vise to hold it while they jam the sights in.
You have to be careful when changing sights on a SIG. They have a tapered one-way dovetail. You push them out and in from the same side. That's what makes them fit good and tight. That's how it is on P22x guns anyway, don't know about the P3xx.

I have German 226 with a folded steel slide. The steel is relatively soft, so if you beat on it with a punch you'll deform the dovetail. You should use a sight pusher.

But, they are all huge and heavy compared to a 365.

BTW, if you want your SIG to shoot higher or lower, check with them to see if they have replacement sights. Mine shot low so I ordered a new rear sight that was 2 numbers higher. For example, mine was a 7 and I ordered a 9 (they're numbered). Right on the money at 15-20 yards.
