Springfiled XD 45 compact (XD9645)... available in CA?

Hi all. Not sure if this is the right forum but...

    I'm looking for Springfield's new compact 45ACP ( XD9645HCSP06 )

I'm located in the Bay Area and Phoenix, AZ and would like to know if someone could suggest how I can attain one.

    thanks

    Welcome to the forum.

The XD9645 is availbale here in California, but you cannot purchase the high-cap version (hence the "HC" in the product description you showed). If you were to purchase the high-cap version in AZ, you could not bring the mags into the state.

Check local dealers for websites such as Gunbroker.com or Gunsamerica.com for this pistol. It is my understanding that Springfield is good about switching mags on high-cap guns for customers. Ask the seller this before purchasing.

      thanks for the info Overkill...

so if I understand correctly, I should look for a XD9645SP06 (HC removed) and have that shipped to my local FFL dealer if I were to buy it in California...

but if I decided to have it sent to an Arizona FFL dealer, then I can purchase the XD9645HCSP06 hi cap version.

      is that correct?

You could purchase the hi cap model in Arizona, if you are a resident, however it would be unlawful for you to import the high cap magazines into California. By the way my dealer was able to get for me several weeks ago.

You cannot buy the high capacity version out of state. As a resident of California you must abide by California's laws. Which means the 10 day wait, DROS, etc.

Just buy the california legal XD and be done with it, they have them in stock over at Bullseye in San Rafael.
          Please, calm down.

great. thanks for the shop info alb. Outta curiousity, do they supply two 10 mags as opposed to one 10 and one 13?
I'm going to be a resident in Arizona in about a month. Do you know what regulations there are to purchase in terms of residency?
I know in CA, I have to show proof of 90 days...

I was just at River City Gun Exchange in Sacramento and they have the XD-45 Compact in stock. I believe the price was about $550, and if I'm not mistaken, it comes with 2-10 round mags.
