E. German Makarov ?'s

I am needing a Makarov. I heard the East German ones are the best. How do I go about getting one? Can I just order one off of gunbroker.com or will it need to be a PPT?

There was Bulgarian one for sale..... Now I have Bulgarian. I concede that Germans have better finish...... but that about it.
As far as pure functionality or reliability Bulgy as good.... and they are cheaper. And for good reason - there is almost nothing to break on Mak..... Short of slide stop of cause.

Unless you are looking for peace that has cosmetic purpose to it ( i.e. peace that won't be carried and won't be shot a lot ) I wouldn't be concentrating on Germans.

The line I draw on Maks are caliber one. I am at loss why would anybody want .380 Mak. IMHO for that caliber it is too big. It is almost too big and heavy for it's "native" caliber.

Otherwise - I would consider ANY MAK. Look on gunbroker - Bulgarians are on CA roster an be shipped.
But of cause best source is still "sale" forum. Maks do pop up there quite often.
