CZ 75 SP01 lanyard loop - unscrews?

My 75 SP01 (manual safety model) is in work at CGW and I'm trying to get ahead of its return...

I note, in the factory pic (parts photo) of the non-loop mainspring plug, what appears to be threads in the hole at the bottom. [I (believe) I have the plug with the lanyard loop - frankly I do not recall.]

I have a factory magwell on order and understand that the plug loop needs to go away for the magwell to fit in place. I'm not willing to grind off the loop and the factory, non-loop, plug is basically unavailable to purchases - except from one well-known company that is asking it for almost 3.5 times the factory selling price.

Seems, from a manufacturing standpoint, having the plug and the loop as separate parts makes sense.

So...can the loop of a plug-with-loop simply be unscrewed?

Call CGW and ask what the configuration is.

If it is lanyard loop, ask them to fix it the way you want.

Update - I ordered a plug (for the Tactical Sport but "should" fit) and some pins (standard pins from CZ - in case I manage to drop and can't find).

Just another case of my paying through the nose to move forward.

BTW, the bottom of the plug (which is identified as for the Tactical Sport model) does have a threaded hole in the bottom - and there is a "matching" threaded-one-end pin that screws into it. Hoping there are no diameter or length issues using this plug in my 75 SP01.

I just took a dremel with cutting wheel to the bottom of the lanyard loop and ?voila!? Instant plug . Took 5 minutes. The metal is soft , must be aluminum. Works fine with Taran Tactical base pads.
