Best trigger

Good posting - I'm on board with these choices and with the exception of the air pistol own or have used them all. I think I go with the High Standard over the 41 on trigger pull.

Trigger pull on the older Smith 745 is not too bad either.

SA trigger pull on the Colts - even the Python, old model Trooper and Officers Model revolver really are 2nd place compared to the Smith. The Colt is smoother even in DA mode, the Smith is crisper.

Apparently we have similar tastes, I have an IPSC commemorative 745 as well! The trigger is heavier but otherwise very similar to the 52.

My Smiths and my Python are pretty much equal in Single action, and flawless. The Python definitely has the Colt stacking which I'm not fond of, but in practice my scores are identical between the Smiths and Colt when shooting an all double action PPC course of fire.

My 627PC trigger breaks at 3 lbs, my Kimber Raptor3.5 lbs but when shoot one handed, 1911s got the best balance in your hand.

Sig P210 has the best trigger. It is a true 2-stage, glorious trigger.

Nothing beats a well-tuned 1911 trigger.

1911 triggers are amazing, but they're marred by that darn safety The Kahr and nicely tuned XD trigger are IMO the best.

High Standard Military Citation 22 target pistol is crisp as can be.

1911 triggers that are light and have a crisp, clean break; definitely. My XD with PRP combat/carry trigger job is definitely up there though. Light, short, and smooth trigger, I love it.

the sig 210 has the best, out of the box, non-customized,
no extra money spend, center fire trigger, bar none.
the swiss shoots them on their 100 meters match,
single handed.
you would need a 'great' trigger to do that.
how many 1911 can do that,
straight out of the box??

Of all the hand guns I have, FNP, M&P, Sig, 1911 and Ruger, the best trigger I have is on an old S&W 39-2. I don't know if it was modified or not but I wish all my other pistols were that smooth and had a reset and break as clean as the Smith 39-2. My 1911 would be next with Sig 228 and FNP9 close.

I had a taurus model 689 357 that was better than my 1911 not by much though.

Most revolvers can be made to have really good single action triggers. The best ones I have are my Dan Wesson in 44 mag and my K22 smith.

The 1911 is the best after that unless you count 22's

My experience is limited. However, I am convinced the right gunsmith has a lot to do with it.
My 20 year-old Ruger GP100 had a trigger job done by 'The Gunsight' in Placentia, CA. I am told that Gunsmith has long since passed away. This GP100 trigger easily exceeded a Python owned by a good friend of mine. I personally believe this is the best revolver trigger I have ever felt in SA or DA.
King's Gunworks in Glendale, CA can supposedly work magic on 1911's. I hear this 3rd party, I have not used them myself.
Unfortunately, I have not fired enough 'High End' guns to compare every stock trigger.
