    New Republic Ammo

Here is weird stuff I faced-my CZ TSO fail to close slide on last round in the mag. What is more weird-if I load 3, 5, 10 rds, it is still lock open on last round. I checked everything and only one item I found different-I used New Republic ammo. Once I switch to Blazer or GECO-no issue. In the mean time that New Republic ammo is functioning perfect on P365s and all my other guns including sort of 1911 and other target guns
Does anybody faced or heard something like that. I searched internet and found only one discussion, there was no solution, but somebody mentioned that some bullets profile might trigger this issue.

I’ve found CZ 75 variants to just not like some random ammo. Ones that all my other guns would handle fine. Always seemed to be random budget stuff though.

1-2 failure to fire per 100 with New Republic for me. Good for range practice. Not good for self defense.

Finishing up the last few hundred of 3000 of 124’s I got from target sports. Got a few weird failure to chamber in my m9 but has been fine in my x5. The bulk of it has been fed through the beretta and it was above the 1000 round mark before jams. Range ammo, fairly cheap and I’m sure a little tight group and some new pills will make another fine range round.
            WTB m&p 9 5?

I bought 2k rounds of their 357 mag. Got it for 40 cpr on sale at Target Sports.

The cases are a little sharp at the rim. No worries, cycles great in my Henry Big Boy. I ran 150 rounds in Borrego desert this week. All shot great. Accuracy seems to be a bit better than other 158 grain. That may be due to a rounder bullet than the usual flat face.

Yes, I will buy more. Works for me. Don't know about other calibers.

"Here is weird stuff I faced-my CZ TSO fail to close slide on last round in the mag".

Same thing happened to me a few week ago. I was shooting my SA Mil Spec. Using Wilson 47's that I purchased new in 2021. Ammo was Federal American Eagle 230 grain ball.

First trip I shot 100, rounds no issues. Didn't clean the gun because I was going back the next week.

Week later, bring 150 rounds, same ammo, and same three mags. First 50 rounds no issues. Second box the slide failed to lock open on last round fired with one of the mags.

Third box of ammo. A second mag started giving me the same problem. Slide not locking back on last round.

Then I had four stoppages such as you described. Last round in the magazine wouldn't chamber fully. Had to drop the magazine, pull the slide back, eject the round.

The I put that same round in the same magazine, back into the gun, rack the slide, round fed right in.

Those three Wilson 47's now have brand new Wolff Springs. Hoping that solves the slide not locking back on the last round fired issue.

Now the other issue. Spent two hours cleaning my gun. Hope that solves the other issue.

Your problem is slightly different-your gun fail to stay open after last round, my fail to close, fail to feed and lock open. Round was sitting in the mag in perfect ready state. If I press slide release-it will feed last round and ready to shoot. Since I switch to other ammo-no more issue.

Ammo is fine, shoot straight, average dirty, I check OL-all rounds within reasonable limits. Just TSO doesn?t like it.

Check on the overall length of new republic vs those other cartridges and see if new republic is longer. And check the shape of projo and see if it passes so-called plunk and spin test in the barrel

It seems like cz are picky on the OAL and projo shape

Grease a steel frame 1911, not oil.

Why is that? Slow down cycle?
