Hands loosing some cushion and that spot would bother me after 200rds.

This is not plug and play, had to fit to frame and polish.
Did not buy jig since the radius is already .220 on frame
Used a dremel on grip safety
Easy enough to do but very time consuming.

Easy enough to swap out the RIA GI sights. $30-50 depending on what you want. Here's a 38 super GI Rock converted to 9mm with 3-dot sights for my old eyes:

I’ll bet this is a great shooter. I went this route back in the day…my only 9mm 1911 until then was a Colt Series 80. I left my sights stock on them both.

One thing is the ambi-safety is a pain to get out, right side.
Can be broken easily.

I kept doubling paper until high enough to get a smooth tip screw driver under.
