Optics for Ruger mark 4

I have a Ruger mark 2, target model.

I am thinking about getting a mark 4 target model.

I want to put some sort of red dot optic on it.
What are the best ways of doing this. Having the slide milled?
What are my options?

I saw this link from RimfireCentral. It looks pretty good being very low to the receiver. This one is for the RMR/Holosun, but they have other models for a FastFire/Docter. https://www.maddmacsprecisiontactica...on-rmrreg.html

If you don?t mind losing your rear sight, they make a version that mounts over that slot so the scope sits further rearward (my preference)
