    Plastic Sigs compared to HKs?

Would like to add either a Sig or an HK to the collection but I don't ever hear much on the quality and accuracy of the Sig SP models. What are their pros and cons and how do they compare to that of the HK?

I have a USP and shot a couple Sig Pros. I think the Sig Pro is a much better gun for the money. Better trigger and fits my hand better. Accuracy is pretty much even. Just go with what fits your hand better.

The only USP I own is an elite model in .45 so I guess I'm spoiled with the ambi controls and match trigger. What is this bad hk trigger you all speak of?

I think that Sig's are what the industry quality, reliability , etc. are compared too.

The H&K USP has a polygonal barrel which provides for better accuracy, less barrel wear over the long run, and easier cleaning. The H&K USP also has less recoil because the counter spring on the recoil rod (they call it their "patented recoil-reduction system"). This is nice if you're doing rapid firing or when you spend a lot of hours down at the range. You just can't go wrong with an H&K.

Without a doubt, the SIG Pro inherits all the outstanding qualities of a classic SIG packaged in a polymer frame. Though subjectively under rated, the SIG Pro is on its way to be SIG's best selling model of all time.

"In 2003, French law enforcement agencies (including Gendarmerie, Police Nationale and customs) adopted the SP 2022 to replace Beretta 92G and some older pistols. A total of 250,000 of the SP 2022 have been ordered by France."

            That's a lot of pistols!

I have a SP2022 in .40 and a 357 sig conversion. Great gun, very accurate and nice trigger pull. I've put thousands of rounds through it, with zero problems. The HK USP is a nice weapon, I've used them on many occassions, but I prefer the Sig, fits my hand better.

HK is the original polymer handgun. They have been doing it for decades, before glock, long before sig.

Sig makes great metal framed traditional da autos. However if polymer is a choice then its HK all the way.

I think USPs are a great sidearm, im just not a fan of the meat pounder grips. Rent and shoot both if possible.

Well I asked this question about a year ago and here's a picture of what I ended up getting (the Hk USPf .45acp, already had the 220st). I first tried to buy a used Sig 2022 in .357sig with the intention of getting the .40s&w barrel, but when the price of the gun dropped to $375 I think one of the store employees bought it or reserved it before I got to the store.

I think don't really think so. It has a long, long, long way to catch up to be their best seller.

I own both Sigs and H&K USPs. I do not own a Sig Pro. I have shot the Sig Pro on more then one occasion. Personally, I do not like them. It doesn't feel right in my hand. I also don't care for the mag release or the slide release. There is no comparison for me between my P226 and a Sig Pro of any model. If you want a polymer gun then get the H&K for sure.

Both have limited life time warranties. Can't go wrong with either brand.
However, I'd sooner part w/ my dogs than my HK... I love my dogs, but...
