I really like my Undercoverette, but if someone is that afraid of guns, you?re probably better off with a .22 - and snub nosed guns in any caliber are not a good ?introduction? for firearms averse people. Also I?ve noticed that finding most all types of .32 ammo has been rough.

One of my local shops usually has .32 ammo in stock. 327, 32 mag, 32 s&w long and 32 acp. The problem is, it's expensive.

I reload, so I stocked up on a bunch of lead swc bullets and 32 s&w long brass. My stock of primers and powder is good too.

Easy to load and a pleasure to shoot. Even in the little LCR.

From the last thread about .32 revolvers...

The only thing holding back the .32 is price and availability due to lack of popularity.

Perhaps 38spl is a better choice, recoil is minimal in a proper revolver.

.38 Special wadcutters are practically recoil free.

Moms Charter Arms 32S&W would knock over the large Coke bottles.

                  Everything else would break them.

It ain’t just the ladies that carry .32s. Keltec P32s, Beretta 3032s, LCR 327s, S&W revolvers, etc. are carried by many fellas around the country. Particularly useful for those who are recoil averse, have certain infirmaries or who don’t wish to carry heavier calibers. I agree that the ammo can be more expensive and somewhat more difficult to find.

.32 S&W Long and .32 Short/Long Colt was a standard police issue revolver cartridge back around the 1900's.

I'd say most of them are marginal as a defense firearm, given the more popular alternatives, but still better than nothing.

Maybe for you, but for some, even in a heavy Colt detective special with the softest factory wadcutters, it's unpleasent to practice with.
My wife loves her post war Walther PP in .32acp.

There are plenty of I frame 4" barrel .32 long in nice shape in the used gun section of shops aroung the country for affordable prices. The grips favor the usually small hands of women and recoil and blast are not intimidating. A .32 hole is better than a .22 hole any day.
