Glock magazine spring replacement, what symptoms?

What are good symptoms for changing in new magazine springs? I have a fistful for my G17. Some glock others not name brand.
Figure i get a handful at once and change as needed. I don't think mag springs know the diff between Cali compliant and not.

Usually feeding issues.

And mags springs do differ between CA and free state versions.

I would agree with @9Cal_OC - symptoms are usually feeding issues.

I would go with Glock OEMs or the "extra power" Wolff springs, etc.

I change my magazine springs every annually - I shoot competition, and around the 5K rounds mark I get feeding issues, which are really bad in matches as you lose time. Having spare magazines, etc. for those scenarios help in the following stages.

its unlikely you would have a fail to lock the slide on last shot but you will notice second to last or last shot nosedives
