Glock gen 5 mags in a gen 3 Glock 19

Has anyone tried using gen 5 mags in their gen 3 Glock 19? Do they work and are there any problems. I did a google search and some of the answers said they would not work while some said that they do.

Don’t have a 19, but do have many Gen5 mags I use in a Gen3 Glock 17 and have never had any issues.

I have two gen 5s in rotation.

Besides mags sticking (like they do on all glocks) I have no issues.

I think it's going the other direction, Gen3 mag in Gen 4/5, that *may* not be compatible. Due to ambidextrous (switchable) mag release in the later Gens, the Gen 3 mags won't work if the mag release is swapped to the other side.

Gen5 mags are all I have for all my Gen3 Glocks. I don’t even think they make Gen3 mags anymore.

None of my Glock mags stick in either of my Glock handguns.

Gen5 mags are all I have for all my Gen3 Glocks. I don?t even think they make Gen3 mags anymore.

They still make gen 3 mags. No reason to choose them over gen 5 though

Glock mags are interchangeable for nearly all of their firearms. Gaston did not disappoint us.
