So at $33 not terribly cheap. I can't remember what I paid for the Shield Arms mags but it seems abou the same right? Any advantages to these over the Shield mags?
I have had zero issues with the Shield offerings, but I am still leery of using them for actual self protection. I am not sure why at this point, but I am pretty strict about sticking with Glock OEM stuff.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment

I believe they sell two different ones, the normal finish for $30 and the micro slick for $33. I got the $30 ones, been awhile since I ordered SA mags but I believe they are closer to $40.So at $33 not terribly cheap. What I like about them is you can use them with the OEM plastic mag catch, you don’t have to pay $20 for a new SA steel catch. Thankfully they also work fine with the SA catch, at least my two do.
I have complete confidence in my SA mags well over 3000 hard rounds using them with zero problems. I use and carry them exclusively in my two 48’s, I don?t yet have that confidence in the PSA mags but if they keep working like they did the other day I will.
If I was just starting out looking for 15 round mags for my 48’s I’d go with the PSA, less cost and less drama.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

I am just about there. A G48 and 15 rounds is a pretty sweet rig and I have had zero failures.Buy made in USA whenever possible.Comment

A lot of folks prefer the extra sight radius on the 48 vs the 43X, but gun owners are not known for their shortage of opinions.GoingQuiet.com, 07/02 FFL

I have a 43X for any time I don't want to wear a button up shirt and a 19 for the rest of the time. I also have a the smallest Sig P365 that I can wear with gym shorts and a tank top.
I prefer to have the G-19 with 15+1 and a 27 round PMAG-9 as my reload. I know some people have issues with the PMAG 27 but I think it's operator error because mine always loads every round. It's difficult to get the last few rounds in so I push it against a table or shooting bench.Comment

I use only the Pmags in two P80 Glock clones I own, have the 15,17,21,27 rounders. Also use them in a 9mm carbine. Strictly for range only guns, can?t remember ever having any issues with them. But I?m pretty good about cleaning my mags. Over all for the cost I think they are pretty competent training mags.Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.Comment

Agreed with all of the above. I don't resllt shoot my glocks anymore but I used to use pmags as training mags too.I use only the Pmags in two P80 Glock clones I own, have the 15,17,21,27 rounders. I never clean my mags but zi would have issues after 5k rounds (since i don't clean mags)
Steel ammo binds sometimes thoughComment

I've been carrying a PMAG-9 27 rounder for going on three years now. Every time I go to the range I run ammo through it then load it back up with my self defense ammo. I also cycle out the hollow points ever year or so. It's how I'm gonna keep doing it and I got the idea from someone else who's been doing it for even longer.Comment
