    Best 1911 On Roster?

Hey guys, I'm from a generation where I didn't grow up with 1911s and wanted to get one just to add to the collection and occasionally take to the range. For this reason I want something with a lot of attention to detail and quality control.

Which one do you guys recommend? I think Wilson Combat has some CA models. Any other options? If this roster didn't exist I already know what I'd get but seeing as how I have to deal with the roster I wanted to know if anyone had any good recommendations.

Wilson combat, gumcrafter, nighthawk. If you are also looking at roster exempt, we also do Atlas gun works, Phoenix Trinity, and can get you modified nighthawks like thebl president and chairman

Nice, now I'm looking through their website and yours, I'm now heavily considering an Atlas, I've heard good things about them. What do you think about Les Baers?

Strayer Voigt Infinity (aka svi) is hands down the best 1911 and it?s still on roster

Order books currently closed and it was 2.5-3 yr wait time before they closed the books.

Edit: i saw you are looking at Atlas. Get an atlas nemesis in 40sw. If you want a 9mm 2011, get it with optics cut and no compensator or barrel port.

Sightblock iron sights 40 and red dot cut 9 are the 2 2011 with the best resale value due to their relevance for action shooting

A number of years ago, I was in the OP?s shoes and ended up with a Sig 1911 Target. I couldn?t be happier. Dead reliable, perfect fit and finish and great trigger. And I got it brand new for $700 off of Gunbroker. My best gun buy ever

If you?re only going to get one 1911, make it a Springfield Professional.

Ed Brown just dropped out of the roster. Some companies just don't want to deal with CA bs laws anymore

For on roster, I think the Wilson Combat Supergrade is still on there, Nighthawks are nice as well.

I sold my Supergrade a year ago, very smooth to shoot and tight groups.

Iffin’ you get a semi custom or full custom you will likely not be disappointed.

If you can swing it the atlas will not disappoint. I?ve had 2 les Baers over the years. I think they?re the best value between them, nighthawk, Wilson and ed brown.

The best 1911 is the one design just for you. Call Custom Shop of Wilson Combat, Les Baer, Night Hawk, Springfield and tell them that you want a 1911 design "just for you per your spec". It's easy.

My best 1911 is RIA with all the lower guts from Wilson Combat, new upgrade slide, FO front sight, adjustable rear sight, new upgrade upper guts, match barrel, new tight fit bushing ..... or I can say the frame is RIA serial number the rest of the pistol are the parts that I selected and modified the way I want.
