    Value on a Victory Smith

Been thinking about unloading a few of my pieces. Can anyone help me out on value?

    Info:
victory smith and Wesson .38 special
    V stamped
    Good finish
Bake-lite vintage grips and Hogue overmolded modern grips
    1945 production year
Property stamps missing from top strap (removed when original owner used it for duty weapon. Bought from cop buddy who?s uncle used it on the job.)
    All numbers matching.

Amazing shooter that gets fired about 50rds a year and then carefully stored. Would come with period leather holster and modern nylon owb field holster. Seems like gunbroker puts me in the 400-750 range- seem about right?

    Thanks in advance.

Does it have an "S" on the right side plate or in front of the serial on the Butt?(ie serial number VS*****) How clean was the removal of the US Property stamps? Are there any P proof marks on the underside of the barrel, rear of cylinder or left side plate? Was the G.H.D stamp also removed?
