Colt D Frame Grip Comparison w/Pics

Finally received not just my Tyler T grip adapter, but a set of Tyler's micarta grips for my carry Agent.

As you can see, they are longer below the butt than the factory grips, so I doubt I'll keep them. I was hoping they were more of a boot grip and the same length below the butt as the originals. I didn't clarify that as I was ordering them.

However, the quality is excellent and the Tyler T folks are great to deal with.

I've included pics of Jim Badger's boot grips for size comparison purposes. I've been carrying it with the Badgers, and they shoot well for my hand size and conceal well.

At this stage of the game, and I have not shot them yet, I'm leaning toward just using the factory wood grips and the Tyler T grip adapter. They feel VERY natural in my hands and conceal better than any other grip I've tried so far.

    Hope this helps someone.

Nice piece. Go Colt wood with T adapter.

I am always looking for Beretta D models in 9mm or a Compact Type M.

I have a late 50's Cobra with factory and the Tyler - works fine, looks right. What I don't understand about Tyler - when you order they say they don't carry their stuff in stock, they wait for you to order before they make them. And they always say it will be 4 weeks or so for the order to be completed - but the TGrip shows up about 10 days later.

Yeah, but Anna and Brian are good people. They've been overwhelmed with business since the Obamarama hit town and are working their tails off.

And they're currently moving into a larger facility to help stay up with demand.

        Better sooner than later!
