    Ruger P89 Rail Adapter

My friend is looking to mount a light on his Ruger P89. I told him to just get another pistol, but he and his wife are very familiar with the gun and wanted to know if they had any options.

I've exhausted my limited Google-ing skills. Does anyone know if a company makes a light rail adapter that fits the P89?

    Something like this:

    Thanks,

    Mike

There are some of those lights that mount only to the trigger guard.
Supposed to be universal, but I bet they are pretty cheesy - never seen one in person.
I think I see this in Cheaper Than Dirt and Sportsman's Guide catalogs.

I'm in a similar situation with my P85, though I'll probably just get a handheld light or use the 5.7.

I'm with you, dude. No matter what, it's going to be cheeseball.

I wish he'd just throw down and get the Sig or Glock he's been dreaming of.

      Thanks for your help,

      Mike

They could buy one of the new Rugers that has a rail if the Ruger is what they're familiar with. I don't think a decent rail adapter for the P89 exists, nor will one exist since there is little demand for one.
