PPT between me and a LEO

Sorry if this has been covered but I tried to do a search with no results at least the way I put it in.
Is it legal to do a PPT between a LEO and my self for a gun that is on the list but has high cap mags? Or would I have to purchase it without the mags?
Are their any other issues that I may be unaware of?
The gun is a HK USP45. The mags state for LE use only.
Thanks for any info or imput.

Can't transfer, give, or sell high cap mags. He could break them down into a rebuild parts kit for you though.

legal for you to PPT the gun, even if it were non Rostered. LEO must keep the mags, or disassemble them and sell them to your as parts. He can't sell you the assembled large-capacity magazines.

AFAIK, some dealers require you to have a working magazine with the fiream in order for you to demonstrate the safe handling requirements, so the LEO may have to lend you one for the demonstration.

Do you want an AOW or C&R SBS/SBR in CA?
