    Hi Oso...

The ones I've seen work on 1911s or Sig or Glock frames but are overall similar...

    FEDERALLY:
    • A pistol (frame) can be converted to a rifle (16+" bbl + 26+" OAL w stock open)
    • The receiver from the rifle made from above pistol conversion can return to regular pistol status (without stock)
    • Transitions btwn the above rifle/pistol statuses cannot ever have any intermediate SBR status, even for a
moment, so proper sequency of assembly and disassembly (i.e, pisto->rifle->pistol transition) is important!
    • This is protected via USSC Thompson Center decision + clarifying ATF memo ~12-14+ yrs ago
      (boy, how time flies!)

    CALIFORNIA:
    • A pistol (frame) can be converted to a rifle but due to CA's own separate SBR laws, that frame becomes
'contaminated' & can't return to pistol status!! [You will lose your pistol ability for that frame in CA!]
    • Any conversion to rifle would need to have a true fixed 10rd (or less) magazine to not risk CA AW laws (i.e.,
      require action disassembly)
    • Any conversion to rifle would require not only a 16" bbl, but needs to be 30" min. overall length, measured
with any telestock in closed position
    • No graceful "featureless" configuration for rifle available.

Too short for CA. It is also not very accurate beyond 50yds.
