Aftermarket triggers for glock 48/slim line

    Hey everyone,

Just curious in case i missed something but is there something i'm missing about aftermarket triggers for slim line glocks? I recently picked up a 48 and didn't get to shoot it for a while but got around to shooting it recently and i'm not liking the trigger very much. I typically replace glock triggers with the apex system as i've been pretty happy with that but i've been waiting almost 2 months for it to come back in stock and to no availability.

started looking at any other options to try and everywhere i look everyone shows it's out of stock.

is it just my luck? or is there something that i don't know about the demand for triggers for the slim line models...

any safety issues? recalls? etc? or just simply OOS generally speaking?

on a side note, anyone that does have an aftermarket trigger in their 48 or other slim line model...any recommendations?

    Thanksl

I love everything about my G48 except the stock trigger. I bought a Ghost connector and I am quite happy with it. It went from having the worst trigger of all my Glocks to the best, although that might not mean all that much as I tend to leave my carry guns stock and this is the only one I have altered in any way. I did put a set of Handleitgrips rubber grip tape set on it from ebay to make it easier to hold if my hands are sweaty.

I have had it for almost three years now and it is my main EDC. I use Shield Arms 15 round magazines (and mag release) in it and have never had a failure of any sort. I usually make it out to the range one or two times a week and at this point have probably run 3-4 thousand rounds through it. It is like all my other Glocks in that it is boringly reliable.

Same here used the Ghost edge connector and replaced the stock trigger shoe with the polymer flat trigger shoe from Overwatch. The flat wider trigger shoe works better for me in the slimline Glocks, I put them on both my 48’s and my 43. I very happy with the trigger on all three, also no matter your trigger stock or slightly modified. The more you shoot them the better the trigger gets, my 43 has over 3000 rounds fired, the 48 over 2000 and the 48 mos just over 1000. The higher the round count the better the trigger.

Im a warmonger baby, I got blood in my eyes and I'm looking at you.

Our Glock triggers are beautifully crafted are made right here in house using 7075 AL. Then anodized for deep rich color. KinetiTech Glock trigger reduce the trigger rest to almost nothing. Best on the market!!!!!

I don't have a G43X or G48, so do call Kineti-Tech prior to ordering if you plan to buy as the G43x/G48 models aren't listed for these triggers on its website, but that could merely be lack of website maintenance.

        I've got regular-frame (Gen3,4,5), large-frame (Gen3), and a G43. My Kineti-Tech triggers worked on all of these versions.

Me, being somewhat cheap, I only bought the trigger shoes and installed them on my existing trigger bars, but Kineti-Tech will sell trigger shoes already installed if they can get the OEM trigger w/trigger bar parts from its suppliers.

What changes are you looking to make? What issues are you having? My biggest gripes was the pointed trigger shoe.

I use Overwatch trigger and trigger bar combo. It reduces pretravel, but not pull weight. The flat shoe was more comfortable after extended shooting sessions. I have these Overwatch kits on all my Glocks, including 43 and 43x. I liked it better than the Apex kit, but that's JMO. I swapped out an Apex in my G26 for an Overwatch.

I just wanted a little lighter of a trigger like on my standard frame glocks with the apex trigger. I find that the stock oem glock 48 trigger is a bit too stiff for my liking...like once i hit the wall, that extra bit to get it to break is quite stiff...perhaps the trigger isn't broken yet but also yes that pointed trigger shoe, after long range sessions it does start to bug me especially since i am so used to the flat face apex trigger.

was just focused on replacing the entire trigger assembly but from the sounds of the other post maybe i'll just pick up the flat face shoe and trigger and just run it with the stock trigger bar, etc. for the time being.

Just wanted to see what other options and recommendations there were out there since i only had experience with apex and no other aftermarket kits.

At first I didn’t like the trigger in my Glock43X, but after doing some drills I will just settle for the OEM part but polished for a smoother trigger. I have a 2.5 lb light trigger on my G35 with a trigger stop and that is strictly for gun games.

There was a recall in 2022 for the slimline apex Glock triggers. Maybe they are still getting caught up on handling the recall and address the issue that caused the trigger bars to be out of spec

My $0.02 is dry fire and shoot the heck out of it to polish the stock parts while waiting to apex to come back in stock

Full disclosure, I sold 2x g43x and my g43 is a safe queen due to personal preference for 365xl and the fit in my hands

I was lucky and found a slightly used Apex Tactical trigger kit on eBay. Its now in my G48. You can now only find Apex trigger shoes on eBay. No trigger kits in stock yet anywhere. I emailed Apex before about when they'll have the triggers back in stock and they said they didnt know. They have a problem with material suppliess for them they said. I have an Agency Arms flat-faced trigger on my G26. Its pretty good. Check this cheap P80 flat faced trigger shoe on eBay for G48's. Attach it to a polished trigger bar and its pretty good. I have one in my G19. Try to get a Ghost Inc. Edge 3.5 pound trigger connector if you haven't yet

Oh yeah, try to polish the parts mentioned in the video on YouTube titled "Improving upon the 25 cent Glock trigger job". Itll make your trigger feel so much better. I did it on my G48. I polished the firing pin, safety plunger assembly, safety plunger, trigger bar and the 4 metal tabs on the grip that slideon the slide rails. I did it all with just a basic dremmel tool and polishing compound

Read my comment below regarding getting an Apex Tactical flat faced trigger kit, Agency Arms trigger kit and P80 trigger. The Apex trigger has a little wall before the trigger break. The Agency and P80 ones have more of a rolling break. Try tonget a Ghost Inc. Edge 3.5 pound trigger connector. The difference in trigger feel will be night and day compared to stock

That's most likely it. I'm sure once they get any issues sorted out, it'll come back. thanks!
