Appears to be a 9mm AR pistol, but it's not up for sale on their site yet.

Supposedly, it is set up similar to their on-Roster single-shot 5.56mm AR pistol, but chambered in 9mm.

I would wonder how it's bolt action, because 9mm doesn't normally need a gas system.

They also don't tell you what type of magazine it takes, but kind of looks like glock mags.

It?s bolt action to be compliant, not out of technical necessity.

Know how it's bolt action means knowing how to remove the bolt action i.e. make it semi-auto.

There is no requirement for a pistol to operate as a bolt-action or as a break-open for single-shot pistols that are submitted to be listed on the Roster of Handguns Certified for Sale.

As long as the single-shot pistol:
                    1. Has a manual safety that meets Federal importation requirements.
                    2. Passes the CA firing safety test.
                    3. Passes the CA drop safety test.
Then it can be listed on-Roster.

                    The single-shot pistol can operate as a break-open, bolt-action, lever-action, pump-action, or non-semiautomatic.
In addition, these manually operated pistols can legally be submitted and listed as repeating firearms and are not limited to being single-shot.
~single-shot = firearm does not have a magazine capacity or the ablity to accept magazines. A single cartridge is loaded directly into the firearm's chamber.
~repeating = firearm has a fixed magazine capacity or the ability to accept magazines. A single cartridge can be loaded directly into the firearm's chamber or loaded from the firearm's ammunition feeding device.

The single-shot pistol exemption (SSE2) avoids the CA mandatory requirements for a single-shot pistol and the need for to be listed on-Roster, but they are required to operate as a bolt-action or as a break-open and can never have been semiautomatic. SSE2 also requires the pistol to be single-shot and it cannot be repeating.

I guess it could be single shot, but it can accept a magazine and appears to have a magazine release.

                        From reading the manufacturer's description...
                        It is an on-Roster bolt-action single-shot pistol.

After it is transferred, it can legally be modified into a:
                        A. bolt-action repeating pistol. (replace the fixed 0 round mag/sled/block with a 1+ round magazine)
                        B. semi-auto pistol with a fixed 10 or less round magazine. (replace the bolt-action upper with a semi-auto upper and replace the fixed 0 round mag/sled/block with a fixed 1-10 round magazine)
