Recently in another thread, while I was drooling on a yet another potential Smith & Wesson revolver acquisition, a fellow S&W enthusiast and Mod said to me:
So, I thought maybe it was time for a break, get out of the house and off the internet tubes, and decided to take the afternoon off and go for a little drive. (OK OK, it was actually to retrieve my latest acquisition).
But, rather than go home and sit in front of the computer and do work, or worse, surf Calguns and argue about UOC, I figured I'd swing by Bullseye in San Rafael on my way home from Petaluma.
And that's when disaster struck: they had a MINT unfired Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman, with Target Stocks, matching box, (possibly matching) screwdriver, (probably not matching) plastic toothbrush.
for $589 in the consignment case. Barely a turn ring - the action tight as a drum.
Well, it took me about 10 minutes but they don't "have" it any longer.
Pictures in 10 days unless my wife shoots me with it. And thanks to the great guys at Bullseye -- fast & efficient. (And great jumpin Jehoshaphat have they got A LOT of guns on the shelves!!)
