    Colt Combat Commander 45ACP

What is a fair price (for buyer and seller) in today's market for a 1980 Pre Series 80 Colt Combat Commander 45acp. blue finish , no box , about 95%+ condition clean gun and all factory original?

Back in 1969 I paid $125 for one, with satin nickel finish. That should help.

I bought a 1987 never fired series 80 for 500 bucks about 2 years ago, don’t know if it was a good price or not but I liked the gun and didn’t care.
A gun, like any other source of power, is a force for either good or evil, being neither in itself, but dependent upon those who possess it.

In 1978 I paid less than $300 for a brand new Combat Commander at B&B Sales. That included tax and dros.

I'm guessing today a no longer made series 70 would go for $1000-2000 depending on condition and accesories (box and papers)

Hes talking about sold prices, not asking prices.

Here are completed auctions on Gunbroker. Some sold and some didnt but you can look through it OP and get a pretty good idea of the current market value.

CA off roster about 1200 if used heavily or 1800 if not, JMO.
