G43X and G48

Just curious what people think about those two. I always liked G48 over G43X. I notice that most people prefer 43X though. Any thoughts?

I had 2x g43x and sold them both. Too small for my hands and capacity too limited

Got 365xl instead. Fits my hand better due to the slight palm swell in the grip and has more capacity while being same size. Also, it?s personal preference but my 365 has the manual safety

I have a G48 and run Shield Arms magazines. I have been using it as my primary EDC for about two years now and I have no plans to change it for anything else.

I’m a big 48 fan, really like the size for carry and with the SA mags it’s just like carrying a skinner G19 and I shoot it as well as my 19s. I started out with the first batch of 48’s released, the two tone and later added a MOS. I’ve had a 43 for a long time, so when the 48 and 43x were released I saw no reason to get a 43x.

48MOS, SF red dot, TLR-7sub, cowitness irons stock trigger with flat shoe. Carries really nice in a IWB holster.

I am with the group. Have both and prefer the 48 all day long better accuracy and much more shootable. Used as my carry gun for two years.

You can also install the G43 slide & barrel on the G48 frame, and end up with a G43X, if memory serves me right. So, you could buy the 48, and the additional slide & barrel, for whatever suits your needs.

I myself prefer the G48. It's about the same size as my G19 but with a thinner grip. And you get a longer barrel. The G43X is pretty much a G26 with a more slender and longer grip. And the G43X looks odd to me with the short slide and longer grip. If you want to go small, why not just get a G43 or G26? Am waiting for a G48 next month

Here you go my Glock 43 slide on my G48 frame and vis versa, I call that the 48x they shoot just fine.

I have both models?and then some.

I prefer the 43x for one reason only... I always carry AIWB with Vedder LightTuck holsters. The 43x doesn’t dig into the boiler as much as the 48 does and while seated for extended periods. That’s the only reason I prefer to carry the 43x over the 48. For comfort while seated. Dinner, movie, church, whatever, it’s more comfortable while seated because it’s shorter.

I think the SA mags are a game changer for the G48. I have the exact same capacity as my G19 with less bulk and weight. For me, it's a win-win situation.

For me , my G48 is no more difficult to carry than a G43X. If I have a need to carry something smaller ( which I never do), I just grab my G43. G48 in my opinion is a winner. Easy to conceal, big enough to shoot fast and accurately, in restrictive states it's a natural 10+1 pistol, in free states higher capacity is available.

Depends on how you carry it. Appendix carry I prefer the 43X.
