The steps would look Just like steps 1 -9 on pages 25 and 26 of the Manual for Full Size Kimbers.

Use the bushing wrench if you can't push in the plug and turn the bushing with your hands. Be careful of the recoil spring and plug wanting to come flying out once they are free of the bushing. Keep your thumb on it to keep it in place when turning the bushing.

Once the tension is off the spring, it will be easy to push the slide back until the half moon notch is lined up with the slide stop. Push the slide stop from the right side and pull it out. Then, KEEP YOUR HAND OFF THE GRIP SAFETY, and push the slide forward off the frame. Pull the spring off the guide rod and take the guide rod out the back. Turn the bushing counter clockwise all the way and pull it out. Push the barrel link back and take the barrel out of the front of the slide.

When you put the spring back on the guide rod, make sure you put the closed end of the spring on the rod first so it is against the rod head.
