Glock or CZ

I took my Mom shooting 2 days ago at the firing line in Burbank. She had her Taurus .38 and I went to the safe a just so happen to pick my Glock19 and my CZ75. I have owned the Glock since about 92 and just got the CZ about a month ago and gotta say I like the way the CZ felt and shot I was able to put down tighter groups with it. Now as my HD gun my Glock is still there due to the fact that I have a lot of pre 2000 Hi cap mags for it and the gun has always ran perfect so I trust it more. Not that the CZ had any FTF but I just have not put enough threw it yet. I do like it very much though. My Idea for you buy both, problem solved.Comment

My first 9mm was a CZ75 and will never get rid of it.
It is kinda old school in that it is made of steel.
It has manual safety, double action, good ergonomics, reliable right out of the box and very accurate.
For a new 9mm pistol shooter, this is a good gun to drive home all the safety fundamentals. Passive trigger safety on Glock works but dosen't reinforce safety awareness. BTW; CZ can be carried "cocked and locked" ,1911 style.
I own both CZ75 and Glock17 and really them enjoy both.
Good luck!Comment

Depends if you want a plastic gun or a metal 1. The CZ is heavier so it will have less felt recoil. My Dad has a Glock .40 and it kicks like a mother. That influenced my decision to get a CZ .40. I do still want a G17 and I'll get 1 eventually. Glocks are awesomely simple, but do have weird triggers. I'm also kind of a retro guy and there's nothing retro about Glocks. Remember, it's not which one your going to get, it's which one your going to get first.

External safeties don't make a gun safer. Only an educated shooter can make the weapon safe by keeping their finger off the trigger until they're ready to fire.My first 9mm was a CZ75 and will never get rid of it.
