            Yeah the Luger is the wildcard. I really need to see it. My friend doesn't understand the importance of details in gun values.

              You may really want to seek a Luger value on a dedicated Luger forum, variations are numerous.

              Does "friend" have the original paperwork for the 'bringbacks'.??

                No paper. The deceased relative was the guy who brought them back.

                I don't know if the death generated any paperwork or if the family just quietly cleaned out the safe. Given the guy's age and guns involved (there are some long guns too), I suspect all the firearms were acquired pre-1968.
